Blogging is an excellent way to embed links into relevant content. Remember that Google prefers links from relevant content. So make sure your anchor text is surrounded by on theme content.

Similary the content that is on the destination page must reflect content that re-inforces the anchor text.

Traditional linking through resource or links pages is easily detected by Google, and little Google juice is received by your site via such pages. So Blogging your Links is a viable alternative for a linking strategy.
